Islamabad February 20 2023: President Dr. Arif Alvi gave the date of elections in the provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The President of the State has announced elections for the Provincial Assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, April 9, under Section 57-1 of the Election Act, 2017.
These letters show the responsibility of the Election Commission to conduct elections within ninety days, the President of the State
The President of the State has started a serious process of consultation with the Election Commission to announce the date of the General Elections of the Assemblies
The Election Commission excused itself from participating in the meeting on this subject, the President of the State.
In exercise of the powers vested under Section 57 (1), the President announces the date of 9th April 2023 (Sunday) for the general elections of the Provincial Assemblies.
