Islamabad December 20 2023: Economic Coordination Committee approved an amount of USD 1.1 billion for the sustainability of Pakistan’s power sector including subsidy for country’s largest distribution company.

ECC considered a summary of Ministry of Energy (Power Division) regarding release of PKR 57 billion advanced subsidy for payment of K-Electric arrears and approved the Technical Supplementary Grant in order to meet the operational requirements of power sector.
