Islamabad December 22 2023: The Election Commission has withdrawn the election symbol of bat from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
The Election Commission, giving a decision on the petitions filed against the intra-party elections held in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, has declared these elections null and void and has withdrawn the symbol of the election bat from this party.
It may be recalled that the five-member bench of the Election Commission had reserved its decision on these petitions two days ago, which was pronounced today.
According to legal experts, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf may challenge the Election Commission’s decision.
It should be noted that according to the election schedule, the Election Commission will allot election symbols to political parties by January 10.
