Islamabad November 18 2024: Based on information from the Central Power Purchasing Agency Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G), NEPRA is poised to cut electricity rates by PKR 1.0159 per unit for October 2024 due to the lower fuel cost adjustment (FCA).
As per CPPA’s data, the actual fuel charges for EX-WAPDA DISCOs in October 2024 amounted to PKR 9.2593 per unit including previous adjustments of PKR 0.1063 per unit, resulting in a PKR 1.0159 per unit decrease from the reference tariff.
Nevertheless, NEPRA has established a reference fuel price of PKR 10.2752 per unit for EX-WAPDA DISCOs for October 2024, following CPPA-G’s proposal.
The final decision by NEPRA is expected on November 26th, after considering input from all stakeholders.
