Court May Decide On Tosha Khana Case if Imran Khan Didn’t Appear

Islamabad March 7 2023: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has said in the ongoing hearing of the Tosha Khana case against PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan that ‘Imran Khan has not yet appeared in court in his personal capacity and if the situation remains the same then, they make a decision.’

In the ongoing hearing after a break in the local court of Islamabad on Tuesday, Imran Khan’s lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat appeared in the court and said that he will give the letter of attorney for a day or two and ask to give a date of next week, Imran Khan’s legal team is present in the Islamabad High Court.

On which Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal gave remarks and said that the hearing is going on for summoning Imran Khan.

On which PML-N leader Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha said that Imran Khan has to appear in the High Court on March 9. On this, Imran Khan’s lawyer told the court that I have been told that it will be easy for Imran Khan to appear in court next week.

On which the judge gave remarks and said that in other words, Imran Khan will not appear in the session court even on March 9.

The judge remarked that Imran Khan has not yet appeared in court in his personal capacity and if the situation remains the same, he will take a decision.

The court said that it is evident that Imran Khan will not appear in the session court even today. Imran Khan appeared in other courts but did not appear in the sessions court. Imran Khan’s request for exemption from attendance every time has been approved.

While Imran Khan’s legal team did not appear in court on time, the judge remarked that Imran Khan’s lawyer did not come, what to do with him?

On which Sher Afzal Marwat, a member of Imran Khan’s legal team, told the court that he will submit the legal representation on behalf of Imran Khan by 11 o’clock.

To which the session judge objected and said that your lawyer’s letter should have come first, the matter should have been later. On which the judge directed Imran Khan’s lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat to submit a letter of representation. While Imran Khan’s lawyer has requested to take a break in the hearing till two o’clock.

On this, Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha said that I have filed a reference against Imran Khan, the matter has been going on for six months.

On this, the judge remarked that in the case of Imran Khan, the law will be equal for all, the Tosha Khana case will be conducted by fulfilling the full requirements of the law. Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal adjourned the hearing till two o’clock.
