Egypt Allowed Al-Shaheer, Organic Meat And FFBL Subsidiary To Export Meat Says SAPM On Commerce And Investment

Cairo November 19 2021: Ten slaughterhouses from Pakistan which have been approved by the Egypt’s Veterinary Quarantine Department for export of meat to Egypt, says Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment.

This has been done as a result of audit conducted by the Egyptian Veterinary authorities.

This is a part of our policy of geographical & product diversification. Our exporters are urged to go full speed ahead to capitalize on this opportunity as this sector has immense potential says Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood.

P.K Live Stock & Meat Company (Private) Limited, TATA Best Food Limited, Fauji Meat Limited, Al Shaheer Corporation, The Organic Meat Company, Tazij Meat and Food, Abedin International Abattoirs (private) Limited and Zenith Associates are among the approved meat suppliers.

Al-Shaheer Corporation

Al Shaheer Foods is the market leader in Pakistan’s large meat industry. It was established as a partnership in 2008, setting up a world class abattoir in Gadap Town, Karachi.

Initially, the company only exported red meat to Dubai, followed by Saudi Arabia to become a trusted supplier of high quality and Halal meat to importers across GCC countries. In 2010, Al Shaheer Foods entered the domestic fresh meat market laying the foundation for the first ever red meat brand in Pakistan – Meat One. All kinds of fresh meat are sold under the umbrella of this brand through company owned outlets.

A second brand, Khaas, positioned as an economy brand targeting the neighborhood butcheries, was launched in 2014. Later, a shop-in-shop model was also developed to increase reach by opening meat sections in high traffic superstores. In addition to serving export and retail markets,an Institutional Sales unit was formally launched with an objective of catering exclusively to the needs of bulk consumers, mainly HORECA and offices/institutions, providing high quality meat tailored to the requirements of the consumers.

Fauji Meat Limited

Fauji Meat Limited, was incorporated in 2013 as a subsidiary of Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited, which is the strongest player in the fertilizer industry and falls under the umbrella of Fauji foundation Group.

Fauji Meat limited owns the largest and most technologically advanced meat processing plant located near Port Qasim, Karachi. The plant spreads on 47 acres of land. It incorporates 100% certified Islamic and Halal slaughtering methodology at every step of meat processing to ensure that tender and fresh meat reaches our customers. The facility is built with the aim and capacity to deliver distinctly flavorsome halal meat of Pakistan to the world around.

The Organic Meat Company Limited

The Company was incorporated on July 14, 2010 as a private limited company under the repealed Companies Ordinance, 1984 (now Companies Act, 2017). The company’s principal activities are processing and sale of halal meat and allied products.

The Organic Meat Company Ltd. is a world-class meat processing company satisfying all the international standards of food hygiene and good manufacturing practices.
