Karachi August 5 2022: The Government of Sindh has imposed complete ban on pillion riding for seven days effective from 6th Muharram, according to the notification issued.
The Government of Sindh in order to maintain law and order situation throughout the province of Sindh and to avoid any untoward incident / mishap, is necessary to take immediate measures. Now therefore, the Government of Sindh, in exercise of the powers conferred under law, do hereby impose complete ban on pillion riding of Motorcycle/ Scooter from Muhharram-ul-Haram 2022 from 6th Muharram to 12th Muharram.
The provided ban that the aforesaid ban shall not be applicable on women, children below the age of 12 years, senior citizens, disabled persons, journalists, personnel of law enforcement agencies.
