Islamabad May 10 2023: The district administration of Islamabad has requested the deployment of Pakistani army to protect the red zone of the city.

In the letter written by the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad to the Ministry of Interior, it has been said that considering the law and order situation, the responsibility of security of the red zone should be handed over to the army.

The red zone of Islamabad is the area where, apart from the embassies, the offices of Parliament, Supreme Court, Election Commission and various ministries are located.
