KIA Lucky motors sales to decline on supply chain disruptions

17,721 units sold by Kia during the period from July to Mar

Lucky Motor Corporation Limited is likely to effect from supply chain disruptions as stated in a letter to its customer earlier regarding apology on delay of cars delievery.

During the period from July to March, KIA sales posted substaintial increase to 17,600 units compared to selling of 5,900 units in fiscal year 2020. In additio to this kia sold imported units of 121 during first nine months of this fiscal year compared to 113 units during last full year. This results in increasing the Lucky Cement sales by PKR77 billion that makes 38 percent of total company’s sales during July to March 2021 compared to PKR22 billion in the same period last year. In terms of profitabiltiy Lucky cement 30 percent profit comes from this section in just second year of Lucky Motors Corporation operations.

Lucky Motor Corporation Limited is subsidiary of Lucky cement engaged in commercial operations of assembling, marketing and distribution and sales of Kia vehicles, parts and accessories in Pakistan in collaboration with Kia Motors Corporation, South Korea. Its production facility has the capacity to produce 50,000 vehicles per annum on a double shift basis. Lucky Cement holds 71.44 percent stake in Lucky Motor Corporation Limited.
