Karachi June 20 2025: Lucky Cement informed that cement plant, of the Company, under joint venture arrangement at Samawah, Iraq remains fully operational, according to company filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Share price of the company drops 44 paisa or 0.13 percent in today’s trading at Pakistan Stock Exchange.
In order to address the rumors arising from a video circulating on social media since yesterday and Lucky cement has issued clarification.
“In this regard, it is hereby informed that the cement plant, of the Company, under joint venture arrangement at Samawah, Iraq remains fully operational and no significant or material damage has been caused to the plant” states the notification.
“The incident occurred due to an unidentified flying object colliding with the top part of the pre-heater installed at Samawah, Iraq which has caused negligible damage to some electrical wiring” it added.
