NEPRA Increased Electricity Prices By PKR 2.52 per unit For September

Islamabad November 10 2021: The National Electric And Power Authority (NEPRA) has reviewed and
assessed an increase of PKR 2.5272/kWh in the applicable tariff for XVTDISCOs on account of variations in the fuel charges for the month of September 2021.

The Authority has reviewed the information provided by CPPA-G seeking monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) and due diligence is done accordingly. From perusal of the information so provided by CPPA-G, the actual pool fuel cost for the month of September 2021 is PKR 7.6816/kWh, against the reference fuel cost component of PKR 5.0229/kWh as notified in consumer-end tariff of Ex-WAPDA DISCOs for the FY 2019-20. The actual fuel charges, as reported by CPPA-G, for the month of September 2021 increased by PKR 2.6587IkWh as compared to the reference fuel cost.

NEPRA Allowed K-Electric To Charge PKR 0.689 During November 2021 Against Fuel Price Adjustment


FCA dhall be applicable to all the consumer categories except lifeline consumers.

These charges shall be shown separately in. the consumers’ bills on the basis of units billed to the consumers in the month of September 2021.

XWDISCOs shall reflect the fuel charges adjustment in respect of September 2021 in the billing month of November 2021.
