Karachi January 13 2023: Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited has successfully completed and commissioned a solid fuel fired 20-MW Thermal Power Plant, according to company filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
This plant has replaced the previous sources of power i.e. WAPDA and RLNG.
The Company also completed and commissioned the second phase of Chlor Alkali plant’s expansion, which was linked with the availability of additional power from Company’s own Thermal Power Plant. Both above plants have now started their commercial operations.
Chlor Alkali plant was upgraded with latest technology in the last quarter of the financial year. The plant utiliztaion remained lower due to initial teething issues in the commissioning.
“The Board of Directors of the Company hasapproved and authorized the Company to examine and consider various corporate structuring options for the Company and its Group Companies (i.e. subsidiaries) to, inter alia, achieve better tax efficiency” says Company Chairman Muhammad Saeed uz Zaman.
Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited was incorporated in Pakistan as a public limited company. The Company is engaged in manufacturing and sales of chemical products along with toll manufacturing of aerosol, soap products, home and personal care.
