Islamabad March 1 2023: Government of Pakistan has discontinued concessionary electricity tariff for Zero Rated export oriented sectors to meet IMF conditionality under revised Circular Debt Management Plan.
The order were issued after a Summary by Power Division titled ‘Implementation of Revised Circular Debt Management Plan” dated 28th Feb 2023 was considered and approved by the Federal Cabinet vide its decision No 126/Rule-19/2023 dated 28th Feb 2023.
Federal Cabinet vide the above-referred decision has approved the Discontinuation of ZRI Package for the supply of electricity @ PKR 19.99 /kWh (all inclusive) export—oriented sectors from 15t March 2023.
