Islamabad May 9 2023: Pakistan Ex Prime Minister PTI chief Imran Khan has been taken into custody by the Rangers from outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
On the arrest of Imran Khan, NAB has issued its statement saying that NAB Headquarters Rawalpindi has detained former Prime Minister Imran Khan for the crime of corruption in Al-Qadir University Trust.
According to the statement, the former prime minister has not been giving any adequate response to the summoning notice of NAB while his arrest has been made in accordance with the NAB ordinance and the law.
PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry confirmed the development.
In a message from Tehreek-e-Insaf, it has been said that “Imran Khan was arrested by Rangers from the diary branch of Islamabad High Court.”
According to Senator Saifullah Niazi, Imran Khan was ‘arrested for getting biometric’.
On the other hand, local media say that he was detained by NAB in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
