Islamabad March 4 2025: Pakistan’s local exports dropped by 17.35 percent during the month of February, the lowest in seven months, to USD 2,439 million compared to USD 2,951 million in the previous month, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Meanwhile, imports decreased by 9.89 percent during the month, to USD 4,738 million compared to USD 5,206 million in the previous year.
The trade deficit dropped by 0.35 percent to USD 2,299 million during the month compared to January data.
However, imports are down 5.57 percent while exports are up 10.03 percent compared to the same the last year resulting in 33.43 percent increase in trade deficit.
Country recorded trade deficit of USD 15,780 during the period form July to February due to 7.40 percent increase in imports despite 8.17 increase in exports.
