Islamabad February 7 2025: Pakistan household inflation measured by the SPI for the current week ended on February 06, 2025 decreased for the sixth straight by 0.21 percent.
Major decrease is observed in the prices of Tomatoes (11.42 percent), Potatoes (5.99 percent), Onions (4.38 percent), Chicken (3.95 percent), Pulse Gram (1.72 percent), LPG (1.08 percent), Pulse Mash (0.82 percent), Rice IRRI-6/9 (0.54 percent) and Mustard Oil (0.47 percent).
On the other hand, major increase is observed in the prices of Bananas (3.25 percent), Diesel (2.67 percent), Sugar (1.78 percent), Garlic (0.44 percent), Powdered Salt (0.39 percent), Petrol (0.38 percent), Cigarettes (0.25 percent), Long Cloth (0.24 percent), Powdered Milk (0.07 percent), Cooking Oil 5 Litre (0.04 percent) and Rice Basmati Broken (0.03 percent).
During the week, out of 51 items, prices of 13 (25.49 percent) items increased, 16 (31.37 percent) items decreased and 22 (43.14 percent) items remained stable.
The year on year trend depicts increase of 1.02 percent, Ladies Sandal (75.09 percent), Pulse Moong (31.08 percent), Pulse Gram (30.36 percent), Powdered Milk (25.80 percent), Potatoes (23.42 percent), Beef (22.35 percent), Vegetable Ghee 1 Kg (17.15 percent), Garlic (16.30 percent), Gas Charges for Q1 (15.52 percent), Vegetable Ghee 2.5 Kg (14.84 percent), Shirting (14.11 percent), and Firewood (13.07 percent), while major decrease is observed in the prices of Onions (54.79 percent), Tomatoes (42.99 percent), Wheat Flour (36.76 percent), Chilies Powder (20.00 percent), Electricity Charges for Q1 (18.92 percent), Eggs (12.09 percent), Pulse Mash (11.61 percent), Pulse Masoor (11.25 percent), Rice Basmati Broken (8.41 percent), Petrol (5.71 percent), Diesel (3.87 percent) and LPG (1.70 percent)
