Islamabad November 18 2022: Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique presided over a high-level meeting in the Ministry of Railways on Wednesday.
Federal Minister for Railways directed ministry officials to install CCTV Cameras in all passenger trains to make travelling more safe and secure. He directed to restore Train Manager position who will be over all incharge and will be responsible for each passenger train. Train Manager and Railway police will monitor movements on CCTV cameras for secuity of passengers.
The curtains should be placed over each window in economy class to maintain privacy of passengers. The liquid soups are to be placed in washrooms.
It was decided in the meeting to restore the Green Line passenger train from next month with new coaches.
Federal Minister also called a detailed feasibility report from Divisional Superintendent Railways Rawalpindi for starting train services between Malikwal and Pind Dadan Khan within a week time.
Consultation process to completet branding of trains to be comoleted by November 20th, 2022 The meeting also discussed in detail different options to make Railwys a profitable organisations in short span of time.
Federal Secretary / Chairman Railways, Zafar Zaman Ranjha, Additional Secretary Railway, Syed Mazhar Ali Shah and other top officials attended the meeting.
