Islamabad April 26 2024: The Supreme Court has ordered to sell the land of Nasla Tower and pay compensation to the ‘Allottees’.

The court in its order has said that the land amount should be provided to the victims after fulfilling all the legal requirements. The Supreme Court bench headed by the Chief Justice has directed to submit the report to the Supreme Court after implementing the court order.

The lawyer of the victims told the court that the builder Abdul Qadir has died. So far, the victims have not been compensated. Advocate Shahab Sarki said that the court had ordered compensation to be paid to 44 victims.

The court has asked the victims of Nasla Tower to contact the authorities with documentary evidence of ownership. The court has also directed the concerned authorities to submit a report on the ‘market value’ of the Nasla Tower plot.

The court also ordered the publication of an advertisement for the sale of Nasla Tower land. The court has said that the report of the bid in the auction should also be submitted to the court.

During the hearing, the Advocate General of Sindh told the court that the Commissioner had taken the land into custody and completed the proceedings and submitted the report.

Earlier, the Advocate General told the court that the court order has been demolished. The court order has been fully implemented. On the inquiry of the Chief Justice, he said that the land of Nasla Tower is currently in government custody.

The lawyer of the victims said that the court had ordered to sell the plot and pay the compensation to the victims. The court had also directed to sell the 240 yard plot adjacent to Nasla Tower and give the money to the victims.

The court issued a notice to the Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Society and sought a detailed report regarding the plot adjacent to Nasla Tower.

The Sindhi Muslim Society has also sought the details of the heirs of the deceased builder of Nasla Tower.
