Islamabad June 5 2022: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called for an emergency plan to reduce load shedding within 24 hours.
The Prime Minister was briefed on the obstacles in the supply of electricity to industry and domestic consumers.
The Federal Minister for Information said that the Prime Minister has directed the concerned ministers to bring balance in the supply of electricity to industry and domestic consumers. The Prime Minister directed that a plan be drawn up so that the people themselves would feel the reduction in load shedding.
According to the Federal Minister for Information, the Prime Minister has directed the Committee of Ministers of Energy, Petroleum and Finance to present a workable plan.
The government says it will effectively implement a plan to gradually reduce load shedding. It was informed that a five-hour long meeting chaired by the Prime Minister took stock of the situation. The Prime Minister was briefed in detail on the overall energy situation in the country.
