Lahore July 1 2022: The Chief Justice asked Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi if he had confidence in Hamza Shahbaz. Parvez Elahi replied that he did not trust Hamza Shahbaz. Parvez Elahi told the court that the house is not complete yet, time is needed for elections.

The Chief Justice said that if the court itself gives time then who will run the government? The Chief Justice said that according to the Constitution, a province cannot be run without a Chief Minister.

Parvez Elahi said that what the court has to say is to carry out the order of the court.

Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that the members mentioned here are not available, it was said that there was no notification on five reserved seats, it was said that till the by-election you have no objection to Hamza Shahbaz.

Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that otherwise time could be given till the arrival of the members present in Pakistan. Pervez Elahi said that he could not be trusted in such a situation.

Justice Ejaz-ul-Ahsan told Pervez Elahi that his lawyer had said that he had no objection to Hamza till the completion of the by-election house.

Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that if you agree to hold by-polls, notification will be issued for five seats, Hamza Shahbaz should continue his work. The court said that the country cannot suffer from crisis, the crisis is to the detriment of the people.

If there is an assembly, the one who has the majority will become the chief minister

Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan should be elected for the post of Chief Minister after July 17. Pervez Elahi said that we do not recognize Hamza Shahbaz.

The Chief Justice said, “Then we decide under the law, who has to be harmed, let it happen, tell those who are speaking in your ear to sit down.”

Parvez Elahi asked the court to order the two political parties to sit down and decide. Justice Jamal Chan Mandokhel said that in a democracy there is only dialogue.

Hamza Shahbaz said that the Supreme Court is respected, the system should continue to function, he did not want to repeat what happened in the past. He said that the attack on the Deputy Speaker was shameful.

During the hearing, Hamza Shahbaz said that no one is indispensable for the system, let elections be held today, we also have people who wanted to go on Hajj but did not go, let the Supreme Court elections.

Hamza Shahbaz said that if anyone had a majority after July 17, they would bring distrust. Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that today’s day has passed, we give decision after consultation. Sit down and work things out.

Hamza Shahbaz said that whatever happened in three months, the swearing in was delayed, I do not want to misrepresent that we should reach a consensus.

Hamza Shahbaz said that elections can be held till 12 o’clock tonight.

“We don’t have to wait until July 17,” the chief justice said.

Pervez Elahi said that if Hamza Shahbaz wants to stay till July 17, he should decide his authority, he should remain Chief Minister till July 17 but members should not be harassed. Justice Ejaz-ul-Hassan said that the courts are open if there are roundups.

Following the conditional consent of Pervez Elahi, PTI lawyer Babar Awan has stated that he will respond to the issue after consulting his leadership.

Parvez Elahi said that he had made the proposal in consultation with senior PTI leader Mahmood Al-Rasheed.

He said that Parvez Elahi was his ally. At Babar Awan’s request, the court adjourned the proceedings for half an hour. This is the third time the trial has been adjourned.
