Lahore March 2 2022: Government of Punjab has increased the minimum wheat support price to PKR 2,200 per 40 kg for FY 2021-22 from PKR 1,950 per 40 kg.
Government of Punjab has directed to Federal government that representatives of different farmer associations expressed their serious concerns / reservations over support price of wheat at PKR 1,950/- per 40 Kg terming it inconsistent when compared to rising costs of inputs such as fertiltzers, electricity and diesel etc.

In this regard, the cost of production of wheat crop for FY 2021-22 was re-estimated and Minimum Support Price of Wheat at PKR 2,200/- per 40 Kg was considered suitable.
Therefore, Government of Punjab increase the Minimum Support Price of the Wheat for 2021-22 Crop to PKR 2,200/- per 40 Kg.
